Suffering, epiphany, enlightenment, divinity are all traps, set by the legion of parasites vying always for control of the one true nature, which is beyond all knowing.
Interesting to think of the process of release in the context of Genesis.
Increased prosperity, predictability of the availability of food, no longer trusting in God to provide for us, as God provides for the lily's of the field, all represent an attachment to nurturing a biographical self imprisoned by the walls of time, cast out from the garden into struggle.
Whether metaphysical or physical - the outcome is an attachment to suffering.
The struggle for divinity now is to return to a state of bliss, recognizing that the middle way does exist in some greater compassion and dignity for the physical state.
If you meet the buddha on the road, sit down and have some tea. Don't kill him or her, nor block either of your paths.
Wander on, unconcerned.
Drink tea, make communion with each piece of the divine you encounter.
Cultivate compassion in each breath, each step, each sitting down. Each quark. Each isospin.
Know in this awareness that death has never existed.
Always movement, even in decay.
What is an isospin?

It's a measure of the interaction of the proton and neutron in quantum mechanics.
Good definition here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isospin
